YES on the "old version of NoGlo"!!!! I had the new version and I was constantly adjusting lighting to make things less bright. ReShade is pretty performance heavy though, even this preset which uses one of the early versions of it, but I've been using it for almost three years now, and I love how it makes my game look with Lumia's interior lighting mods.įor CAS I use Lumia's CAS Overhaul v2, because I think vanilla CAS lighting is atrocious. I also use ReShade with the Height of Summer preset. But you can find it on his blog and try it if you want. I linked the old version of NoGlo, because the new one lights Sims up way too bright since the Cats and Dogs patch, in my opinion. They will make a drastic improvement in your interior lighting! You cannot have both in game.You need NoBlu and NoGlo by LumiaLoverSims. NOTE: You will need to swap out the v2 and v2.1 files. I will keep up v2 just in case anyone prefers it over v2.1. Sims are still brighter compared to the vanilla game lighting but they are less affected by lighting now. I’ve fixed NoGlo so that Sims don’t look overexposed indoors and outdoors in certain lighting conditions, along with a couple other tweaks. Please enjoy and let me know if there are any issues! You also need to make sure to remove the old NoGlo package file from your mods folder before you use this. NoBlu corrects this by making Sims also as dark as the environment. If you only have NoGlo in game, Sims will be brighter than the environment in the dark. I thoroughly tested it to make sure I got optimal results both indoors and outdoors despite the limitations of Sims 4′s lighting.īefore you download, however, I urge you to also pick up NoBlu, which removes the blue tint from indoor environments. NoGlo looks and works a lot better now when lights are present.
You’d have to place several lights to light up just Sims but you’d end making everything else extremely bright, and the whole thing just didn’t look great.
Version 2 was created mainly because I was annoyed at how dark Sims were indoors compared to their environment, especially with the lights ON. I released the NoGlo mod about a year and a half ago to remove the blu-ish lighting and halo effect on Sims and I figured it was time to update it.
